Each rank requires the
completion of a Scoutmaster Conference and a Board of Review. Conference and Board
procedures are as follows:
 |
The scout seeking
advancement in rank shall advise his Patrol Leader that he desires a Scoutmaster
Conference and shall provide satisfactory evidence of his eligibility for the rank; |
 |
The Patrol Leader
shall consult with the Senior Patrol Leader on whether the scout has provided satisfactory
evidence of his eligibility for rank and, upon approval, the Senior Patrol Leader
shall schedule a Scoutmaster's Conference no sooner than the week following the request; |
 |
The Senior Patrol
Leader shall provide the scout's Handbook to the Advancement Chairperson at least
one week prior to the date set for the conference so that an up-to-date advancement record
is provided to the Scoutmaster (or his designated representative), and any subsequent
Board, when meeting with the scout; |
 |
The scout shall
be conducted to the conference, and any subsequent Board, by the Senior Patrol Leader (or
his designated representative); |
 |
Upon approval of
the scoutmaster (or his designated representative), a Board of Review will be scheduled by
the Senior Patrol Leader (or his designated representative); and |
 |
The scout shall
wear his full-dress uniform to the conference and any subsequent board. |
